Every fire here is built, not bought. Simon works with sculptor Matt Sanderson to design and forge bespoke architectural grills — part cooking machine, part sculpture — made by hand and available to commission for your own table.

Under the Nut Tree sits within Kentchurch Estate — nearly a thousand years of history folded into the Herefordshire hills. Stay the night, wake to the deer on the lawn, and make a proper trip of it.
